An Anecdote:

It is likely that every theatre kid has that moment that they consider to be their musical awakening. For me, that awakening was when I was a little boy and first saw the musical, Wicked. Looking back, it could have been a blood sugar high from M & M’s (I had yet to learn the ins and outs of theatre etiquette…) , or the daze I was in from the heavy perfume in the seat next to me, but I have never felt a connection to anything as I did at that moment. That feeling, like a first love, is what made me know that performing and sharing a story was my passion. The ability to connect with an ensemble, and become the characters is rewarding and when I feel most authentic. Having the opportunity to share creations of art with people, and possibly let others feel the way I do in the theatre, is what I intend to do for the rest of my life.
